Alexeï Georgievitch, Count d'Horrer, and his children

Alexis Georgievitch
Third child and second son of Count Georges d'Horrer and Olga Delarue, Alexei was born on January 15, 1909 in the family property of Lichtsiany, in Lithuania. After the same childhood as his brothers and sisters, he had to, like his brother Evgueni, go to T.O. (kind of forced labor: see note) from 1932 to 1934, but while Evgeny spent the rest of his life there, Alexei could return to his family, in Gorno-Altaïsk (Siberia), after his civil rights had been restored. He spent these last years in Pshada, near Krasnodar (not far from the Black Sea) with his second-bedded children.

Alexandra Ragozina, épouse d'Alexeï d'HorrerIn 1935, he married Alexandra Nicolaievna RAGOZINA (1), a noble cousin on the Delarue family, professor of Art History, author of memoirs. They had a son, Georges Alexeievitch (1936), who follows below,
and a daughter, Irina, who only lived for one year. In 1941, he was mobilized into the Red Army and served first in the intelligence service then as a tanker. (DOC 29 : Letter from Alexeï Georgevitch  d'Horrer to his wife) in 1942, and aLettre du front d'Alexis d'Horrer traduction Letter from the front of Alexeï d'Horrer facing the Germans, traduction). Wounded in 1944, he was released from his military obligations following a concussion.

He divorced in 1945 and remarried in 1948 with Tatiana Ageievna OUSSATAYA and had three other children, who will follow: Olga (1951), Evgueni (1953) and Alla (1955). Furthermore, he adopted the son of his wife’s first marriage, Nicolaï, who was 25 years old and took the name d'Horrer (2). These four children constitute the "branch of Krasnodar", with whom their half-brother Georges d'Horrer (below) had lost all contact. In October 1994, we wrote to each other (DOC-35 : Letter from  Georges d'Horrer), and they sent me several pages of information about their family.

Like all the children of Georges Iossifovitch d'Horrer, as an aristocrat Alexei did not have the right to study, therefore to specialize ; therefore, he had to settle for a work in a state farm.  But as he had received a careful education, he wrote novels. During the war, he was captured by the Germans, then released. He received several medals, including 'the Order of the Red Star'.   After the war, as the Soviet Archives had been destroyed in Kharkov by the Germans, Alexei was able to work as an engineer and technician in a sovkhose.
He spent the last years of his life in the village of Pshada, near Krasnodar (Russian Caucasus), near the Black Sea, which remained the family home. Very sick, he died there on August 8, 1988, as a result of the concussion he had suffered during the war.

As I said, he had two children from his first marriage, Georges and Irina.

Georges 1

Born on March 16, 1936, Georges Alexeievitch d'Horrer is in fact the head of the family of all contemporary d'Horrer. (Note about his studies ans his professional career).
Georges retraiteHe invited me several times to their family home in Pshadar, on the Black Sea, where they go every summer, but I declined their invitation because of the language. I sent them the booklet on family history that I had written in the 90s. Georges even wanted to send me money to allow me to have it translated into Russian! But I sent them the link to this site, and the automatic translation allowed them to understand everything.

NOTES

1/ Ragozine : family descended from Iov Ragozine (early 17th century); his grandson David is mentioned as noble in 1692. Their descent is recorded in the sixth part (ancient nobility) of the noble registers of Kaluga.
2/ Nicolaï Oussatiy-d'Horrer : Of course, as an adopted child, he cannot claim either the nobility or the titles of the d'Horrer family.
